INDIANS STRUGGLED AGAINST THE BRITISH EVEN ON THEIR INDEPENDENCE DAY
Yes. Many thought that independence day would bring more enthusiasm and determination to our Indian Cricket Team to resist the English bowling but it turns out to be wrong.Even the Pakistanis struggled against Sri Lanka on their independence day(14-08-2014) .But at least they didn't struggle against a country which ruled them.

Indian fans weren't sure that they were watching a live match or the repeat of the 4th test match at Manchester. Indian batting collapsed like a pack of cards again.Just the king of hearts showed some resilience and its Captain cool with a good knock of 82 runs.Only 3 players got to the double digits . It was Murali Vijay , Ashwin and Dhoni.
Gautam Gambhir's poor form continued as he went for a golden duck.
Pujara's weak zone was exposed again by Broad as he went past the defense of Pujara. Another batsman who is struggling is Kohli and he also perished very quickly .Rahane also had a hard time in the middle and he went for a duck.
If not for MS Dhoni's 82 then India would have not crossed the three figure mark. Indians were all out for 148. England now have the driver's seat. England ended the day with 62 for no loss .
Critics have been very harsh on MS Dhoni.His defensive captaincy has let him down.Many experts say that Dhoni should quit as a test captain. No doubt that he is a wonderful limited overs captain but his test record overseas is very dismal .He is now the worst Indian captain in overseas test with 13 losses.He might well become the worst in the world if he picks up another 3 losses.He would then dethrone his CSK coach Fleming. But Dhoni has shut the mouths of critics about his batting.His has scored 349 runs in this series, second best to Murali Vijay who has scored 400 runs.
Indians will need to work hard to achieve in Overseas tests. This would happen only with the support of the fans and a different domestic circuit for the players.Comparing the standards of domestic cricket in England and Australia , India will be nowhere .And also it is upto the selection committee to scout for good talent.Lets hope India will perform well at least in the ODIs and the T20s.
